“I think working on a ‘finished’ object like a toothbrush is a littleakin to designing a pencil: it’s almost impossible to design a new one, butwe tried. The first thing we did was to strip it down to the pure and essentialnature of its function, taking away everything that was superfluous, any excessof ergonomics, design and material. For over thirty years, Piero Lissoni has developed projects the world over inthe fields of architecture, landscape and interior, as well as in product andgraphic design. He has received a series of international awards, including theGood Design Award, the Red Dot Award and the Compasso d’Oro ADI.
